Dottie Is A Survivor
At 6 weeks old, Dottie Lessard was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis and doctors told her parents not to expect her to live past 2 years of age. Then, when Dottie reached two, doctors told her parents she would not make it to first grade. Now at 44, Dottie is one ferocious woman with an insatiable appetite for life. She has done what most said she could not do.
A True Champion
Dottie is a proven champion, winning several Gold Medals in the U.S. Transplant Games. She had the honor of carrying the Olympic Torch through Boston and has been acclaimed as one of Boston’s Exceptional Women. Bryant Gumbel of HBO Real Sports featured Dottie on his show after following her for two years. Runner’s World Magazine honored her with its prestigious “Heroes of Running Award”. She has been featured in other sports magazines as a “Top Inspirational Athlete” and Success Magazine called Dottie “A Woman to Follow, An Inspiration To Learn From”.
A Professional Leader
Dottie Lessard is an Empowerment and Wellness Coach, a Human Performance Specialist, and Published Author. Dottie is President of Dottie’s Dream (501C3 non-profit), an organization that helps kids who are going through the same fight she found in her youth. As a Motivational Speaker and Competitive Athlete, Dottie spreads inspiration in whatever she sets out to do. Her first book “Seven Letters That Saved My Life”, was released with high praise in May of 2010. An Inspiration
At a young 44 years old and living with transplanted lungs for over 16 years, Dottie is called a trailblazer for both the Cystic Fibrosis and Organ Transplant communities and donates much of her time to both. She is also very involved with young girls and women’s leadership organizations. She believes “To give back is to receive the greatest gift.”
A Mom and Wife
Dottie’s greatest joy is to spend quality time with the two loves of her life, husband Ben and son Liam.
Dottie believes her faith is the foundation of all she is and her passion to help others “Find Their Spark Within”. As a life coach, she believes strongly we all have it in us. Her fuel is your needs and desires. Together she wants to help you discover your destiny and live your dreams.
