Dottie’s Dream

Imagine you have been given the news; There is a statistic that leads doctors to put a “time limit” on your life due to a genetic disease with no cure. Or that your lungs or kidneys are failing and only a life-changing operation can offer any hope of sustained life. Imagine finding news like that at 6 weeks old.

This is exactly the news Dottie and her family received at that tender young age. Dottie found the fight. The positive energy within to keep going and not let anything get in her way. Dottie created her own “statistic” and believed she could live, become, and do, no matter what. It is a wonderful, heartfelt story and very inspiring.

Imagine not having the resources or the environment to find hope or inspiration. That’s what Dottie’s Dream is all about. Hope personified and shared.
Dottie Dream is about showing others firsthand how life can be lived no matter what is put in front of you. The goal is to strengthen not only the individual but the family unit as well.

Dottie Lessard is president and founder of Dottie’s Dream, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that provides home exercise equipment, swim/gym memberships education, one on one mentor-ship, self empowerment, and quality nutrition to children and young adults with Cystic Fibrosis and/or children who are awaiting/received an organ transplant. Exercise and a Strong self belief are fundamental in living with and overcoming health challenges. Our mission is to provide the opportunity for all to get a fighting chance through exercise and self empowerment.
